by creating public awareness, telling the public about why we should stop littering.
And also by also telling them how they do their part, making the environment a better place to live in and a cleaner beach to play and swim in.
Effects
There are many things that water pollution and beach pollution can cause. They can cause such illnesses as gastroenteritis,
which rears its ugly head in the form of nausea, vomiting, stomach ache, diarrhea, headache and sometimes fever. Ear, eye, nose and throat infections
can also ensue from swimming in polluted water. More serious illnesses such as dysentery and hepatitis may be caused by the sea waters if we do not take care of our beaches.
It has been suggested that it is the leading worldwide cause of deaths and diseases and it accounts for the deaths of more than 14,000 people daily.

Simply throwing a plastic bag into the sea can kill marine animals. Fishes or turtles may be suffocated by the plastic bags.
